I am in a FUNK!
ACRONYM:
F eeling
U nappreciated
N egative
and
K ind ™
Somehow when I am in a funk, I find myself being a bit more patient, and kind towards inconveniences. Maybe this is to due the inability to really even emotionally negotiate anything more in the day. A funk is a bit more easier to shake than being totally depressed, or even raging mad. It may also be that quite possibly by labeling a melancholy mood as a "FUNK" we may find that the severity of the emotions will have less destructive consequences.
Aside this acronym we can apply a dulling technique to situations everyday. Saying F-it may be effective in most situations, but there will be situations that are not so fitting for an F-it moment. In life we do need to feel these things in order to learn about the world and ourselves. Without emotion and compassion we would be a dull, boring, and most likely, homicidal society.
If there is a moment in which we can not say F-IT, then we should try to dull the pain. Dull it with something to help ease your soul a bit faster. Maybe even just keep your chin up while going through a serious period of life. "This situation has me in a Funk..." Thus giving yourself some room to breathe, also letting your soul know that it will soon end. Thus giving your emotions the much needed work out they need, with a cool down period.
Once the funk has passed, you can now be:
H appy
E xisting
R ight
E verywhere ™
(Much thanks to "The Love Guru" for the acronym inspiration)
