Normal. N O R M A L
Those letters have forever en graven into our society a standard set by a ocean of opinions that could NEVER be measured.
The mere existence of the word "Normal" has created an anxiety within our lives. Quite possibly at some point. It seems as if conformity is a shield against opinion. Thus denying us of the one true freedom we have as humans. Expression!
From the moment we walk out our door we are mentally preparing ourselves for the world. Those unknown circumstances that effect our every being. Straight down to our emotional core. The harsh reality is in our anxiety we miss the point of the experience. It becomes about "perception" and not reality or what actually is. Albeit this is a bold analysis, hear me out.
Being judged by our peers can be a hurtful experience when in a negative context. A majority of our goals in life are out of necessity and not living with a stigma of abnormality. Instinctively we go into survival mode. This is necessary on all levels of human survival. It has been since the dawn of time and will be until the end of time.
In modern times the Ideologies of man have become watered down. Thanks to the modern communication they are broad casted to billions. So now, we all have this VAST audience to cater to with excerpts of our lives. Now when we step out into the "Real World" life feels less private. Albeit if your a digital baby, or if your old school, "Normal" is going to impact you somehow. The pressures that are learned as a child and formed into our adulthood into fears, anxieties, phobias and motivational factors. SURVIVAL
In conclusion I say the following. Conformity is instinctive. All mammals follow a code of conduct and stay with the pack. It is upon the individual if they want to follow, lead, or stay out of the way. Fear should never hinder an individual from their freedom. Nor should it allow them to use it against others. Coexisting peacefully can open doors for ALL and not just SOME.
